Best known as the location of the Naval Base Kitsap, the city of Bremerton has many military attractions throughout the city. For instance, the USS Turner Joy Museum Ship is a decommissioned destroyer ship that was used during the Vietnam war. Guests can explore the 418 foot ship as part of a self-guided tour.
Another popular naval destination in Bremerton is the Puget Sound Navy Museum. The indoor and outdoor museum is kid-friendly, has many permanent and seasonal exhibits and has free admission.
